The Opportunity:
We're seeking a Treatment Coordinator to join our team! As a Treatment Coordinator, your main responsibility will be to effectively communicate treatment options and associated costs to our patients. You'll serve as the liaison between our doctors and patients, gathering information from new patients, collaborating on treatment plans, and presenting these plans to our patients.
We're looking for someone who is knowledgeable about various treatments, timelines, and capable of negotiating financial arrangements with our clients. Additionally, you'll create a welcoming environment for our patients, especially those with concerns about dental expenses.
In this role, you'll also coordinate with other offices involved in patient care and handle internal accounting tasks to support our practice's profitability goals. If you're passionate about patient care and have strong communication and organizational skills, we'd love to have you join our team!
Schedule: Full-Time
Mondays 12:00pm - 8:00pm
Tuesdays 7:30am - 5:00pm
Wednesdays 11:00am - 7:00pm
Thursdays 12:00pm - 8:00pm
2 Saturdays/month 10:00am - 3:00pm

Responsibilities:
Be present during comprehensive exams to understand patient treatment need and when necessary, attend re-care exams to understand patient treatment needs
Ensure patients understand their treatment plan
Handle objections to the proposed treatment
Present case fees and financial options to patients
Present or co-present the treatment plan and consent
Educate patients, as necessary, regarding their dental benefits
Participate in huddles by providing vital information for customer service and case acceptance
Prepare for the Perfect Day meeting by reviewing the day’s patients with outstanding treatment needs and presenting them to the team
Determine dental benefit eligibility, limitations, and payment estimates necessary to facilitate financial arrangements
Ensure patients are up-to-date on their financial obligations
Proactively communicate with the back office so they know any changes in the patient’s financial status
Maintain the consultation room neat, orderly, and welcoming
Assist in maintaining and developing systems such as checklists to verify workflow and streamline patient care
Complete other daily task checklists as assigned
Ask satisfied patients for a referral/online testimonial
Write or call patients who made a remarkable impact on the office, thanking them for being patients
Fully utilize administrative time to prepare for the next day
About You:
A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a Treatment Coordinator role
Comprehensive knowledge of dentistry and the ability to explain procedures in simple terms
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
Proficiency with computer systems and familiarity with dental software
Outstanding customer service and telephone etiquette
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Strong influencing and negotiation abilities
Excellent organizational skill
Creative problem-solving abilities
A thorough understanding of scheduling and financial systems
The capability to thrive in a team environment and contribute positively
Ability to work autonomously, taking initiative and responsibility for tasks
